Title:「MARS~ただ, 君を愛してる~」 Run time: 2016.01.24 - 03.27, Sundays MARS is a drama that I happened to have watched because I was bored, and in need of some high school romance. I found it awkward that the two male leads were in their late 20's, but I guess that's fine since they made it look believable. At first I thought it was just some cliché love story between a girl and two guys. But then I realised that one of the guys likes the other guy, and not the girl, so that made it different. Fujigaya Taisuke is the reason why this drama is bearable to watch. Let's be honest, he's handsome. And his acting wasn't bad either. Though there was some slip bits that I noticed while watching. (Sigh) Anyway, I remember back in April, when this drama was first announced, I was freaking out because I thought they were going to mess up my childhood goodness. But what was the result? Title:「戦う！書店ガール」 Run time: 2015.04.14 - 06.09, Tuesday 10pm I seriously do not understand why this drama had such low viewership ratings. I mean, I know people don't really watch that much television anymore, but for a drama this good, it was a bit of a shame. But since this drama is mostly about books, I guess it's not many people's kind of shit. The thing is, I love books. Books is my life. I have lost count of how many books I've read in my life. I have worked in a library before, and currently I, too, work in a bookstore (yeah, I finally told you where I work, sigh). Which was why when this drama was first announced, I couldn't wait to see it. The title is Tatakau! Shoten Girl , which literally translates to "Fight! Bookstore Girl". And since I can relate to the drama with my real personal life, it makes it that much more good. I have began watching Revenge since way before I've seen Maou . Since then, I have always thought Revenge is so similar to Maou in the sense that both is about revenge on those who have destroyed their family, but with Revenge a lot more detailed and complicated. Maou was short and straight forward. Well,  Maou is a Japanese drama, whereas Revenge is American, so it makes perfect sense. And now that I have finally watched the finale of Revenge , my mind is just basically filled with "ah, this ending is how Maou should have ended". Somewhere in one of my older posts I mentioned that Hong Kong was airing Shitsuren Chocolatier on TV. And that I watched it in Cantonese dubbed. When I read the news that Death Note is going to have a drama version, the first thing that came into my mind was "Crap, this is going to be disastrous". I have read the whole manga series and the anime is my childhood, I've rewatched it over ten times. I've seen all the live-action movies. It was all good. Until this came up. I don't want to make quick assumptions, but it's just that since it's part of my childhood, I don't want it to be ruined, if the drama will turn out bad. I already said that I'm a slack so I can't be bothered to go on a long detailed description on what the drama is about. But basically, it's about these two boys, Ikuo Ryuusaki and Danno Tatsuya, who saw their teacher from their orphanage, Yuiko-sensei, murdered by some powerful unknown, and spends 20 years to rise their own ranks in society in order to track down whoever killed their beloved teacher and bring justice to her.
