Kubota Masataka creeps me out and Fujigaya Taisuke is hot

Title:「MARS~ただ, 君を愛してる~」 Run time: 2016.01.24 - 03.27, Sundays MARS is a drama that I happened to have watched because I was bored, and in need of some high school romance. I found it awkward that the two male leads were in their late 20's, but I guess that's fine since they made it look believable. At first I thought it was just some cliché love story between a girl and two guys. But then I realised that one of the guys likes the other guy, and not the girl, so that made it different. Fujigaya Taisuke is the reason why this drama is bearable to watch. Let's be honest, he's handsome. And his acting wasn't bad either. Though there was some slip bits that I noticed while watching. Kubota Masataka was just creepy throughout the whole drama. I mean I know he was supposed to be because of the role that he was playing, but I just thought, was that Light I'm watching again? That kind of acting is just unacceptable. There was some Nani kore moments throughout the d

I'M AN ARASHI FANCLUB MEMBER!!!

Image
So it's official. I'm their fanclub member. I don't know what to feel. It just seems so surreal. Am I dreaming?   I have been Arashi's fan for two and a half years, and during this time, just thinking about joining their fanclub was something of a long-distance dream. Because it would've been a step closer to seeing Arashi live. Joining their fanclub means I get a chance at balloting their concert tickets. And since I'm going to Hakkaido, Japan, this October, it will become my first time in Japan, which means I might get more opportunities to go to other places in Japan in the future. Not that it's that simple because I still need to compete with 1.9 million other fanclub members, but I'm getting nearer, and that alone gives me hope. I actually thought joining their fanclub was something impossible since you have to have a Japan address, which literally means you have to live in Japan, in order to have a chance to join. And it was all thanks to my

Title:「 I seek / Daylight 」 Artist: 嵐 (ARASHI) Release date: 2016.05.18 Haven't done a song appreciation post in a while. I know I should've done one for Fukkatsu LOVE , but something happened and I couldn't get my copy of the single, so that made me unhappy so I didn't bother with a post. I'm sorry. Fukkatsu LOVE deserves its own justice. But now I've decided to get my depressing ass back on track and do a song review. Well, this time not one, but two at the same time. Because my favourite Arashi pairing, Juntoshi (Jun and Ohno), decided to star in dramas that air around the same time, so Arashi decided to sing both of the drama theme songs and then put both of the songs together in a single, to their dear fans' delight. I used to write long posts on these things so to prevent wasting your precious time, I'm going to make this short and brief. Recently, I've been so busy with work and the fact that I'm moving houses, I've been lazy, s

APRIL 8: Happy 18th Anniversary, Ayu! Happy 20th Birthday... me!

Image
April 8. The day an irreplaceable star was born. Eighteen years ago, a 19-year-old Japanese girl wondered around the city of Tokyo, Japan, looking for a place of her own, a place where she belongs. ayumi hamasaki may not have been with me for that long, but for these 6 years that I've been a fan, she has let me see many things, and led me into other interests. She has been a legend. She is still a legend. And she may not be the hit right now, but deep down in my heart, she will always have a rightful place. ayu was the one who led me into J-pop, who led me into the fun world of Japanese entertainment. And even though the industry may not be what it seems, it has brought me much joy and tears throughout these years. And ayu was also the reason I came across Arashi and became their fan. Everything began with ayumi hamasaki, so I will never forget the memories that I had with her, the experiences that she led me through, and the hard times she helped me through. Happy 18th anniversa

ayumi hamasaki dragged SHU-YA to Hell... with a gun

Do you remember the time when ayu was still fake crying and always hanging onto SHU-YA's sleeve? Do you remember the time when all SHU-YA, ZIN, Subaru and Maro was still prominent? And that KO and 2-YAN weren't important? Do you remember the time when Yo-chan still has his long hair? Do you remember the time when it was just Peco and Princess as the back vocalists? Do you remember the time when ayu still cared ? When her lyrics still meant something? When her music videos were still worth the time to watch?? Well, all of that changed. Peco left. Princess's importance got stamped on by Timmy. Yo-chan cut his hair and stopped speaking. Maro got fired and ended up eating grass and being a porn star. ZIN and Subaru got pushed to the back. KO and 2-YAN became more important (in ayu's eyes), and SHU-YA left. Now, SHU-YA did come back to ayu's arms around a year later. But he got rid of his infamous half-blond, half-black hair, and turned it all into just black. ayu s

That time when four bitchy aunties sat next to me in a restaurant

This post is from June last year, a post I hadn't been bothered to finish. So I'm just going to post this real quick, but not that you really have to read it since it's just my usual ranting about how sucky life is. If there is one thing you should learn about the people of Hong Kong, is that they don't give a shit about you. They would say bad things about you right in front of you. They would push past you while you're walking on the streets. They would stand right in front of you when you're trying to walk past, and they would not move. They walk so slow... and you're rushing (sigh). They would stare at you (for no particular reason at all). They would peak in your shopping bag to see what you've bought. They would look at you in the lift to try to memorise your face (creeps) when you press your floor. They could complain about everything, anything. And the list goes on. And they wouldn't give a crap about what you think of them, they just does

Sakurai Sho turns 34!

Image
I'm so sorry, Sho-kun! For this belated birthday message! I've been so busy with life, I didn't even have the time and mood to write this post. So I'm just going to make a brief message to our dear Sho-chan, wishing him a happy 34th. Sakurai Sho was the first member who caught my attention when I was still discovering Arashi. He was the hilariously cute failboat who loved to eat when I watched their older variety shows. Not that he's not now, but it was much more funnier back then. Sho is always the MC at the centre in their shows, it doesn't matter whether it's VS Arashi, Arashi ni Shiyagare, Arashi no Shukudai-kun, or any of their other shows. And along with NEWS ZERO, Sho has become a well-respected host in his own right. And at 34, I hope he continue to stay as great as he is now but also not forget to rest more, and don't over-work himself. That's all I want to say. Thank you, Sho, for being part of Arashi! And I'm going to end this shor
